United Flower Growers Ltd (UFG) is a company formed by the combination of grower-owned companies United Flower Auction Limited, and the flower operational arm of Market Gardeners Limited – creating a truly unique and well structured marketing organization that is totally focused to the needs of the New Zealand Flower Industry.
Our mission statement clearly reflects our position in providing support and an on-going and everlasting commitment to the flower industry that will ensure balance; protection of marketing efficiencies and costs structures; and an honest, open and completely transparent means of selling flowers.
As an industry-owned company, our goals and objectives are almost identical to those of our suppliers and customers and we will continue to work as industry partners with all involved in the NZ flower industry.
Bruce has been associated with the NZ flower industry for over 30 years and working as UFG's Managing Director for over 15 years. His interests include computer gaming, cooking, reading and working on his property.
Sena has been managing the administration side of the company for over 10 years. She loves to spend time with her family and church community.
Rebecca has worked in the flower industry overseas and in NZ for over 7 years. She joined UFG in 2012. She loves spending time with her young family, baking and going for long walks with her dog Rosie.
Brook has worked in the New Zealand flower industry for most of his life with experience in many different avenues such as growing , wholesaling and retailing flowers. He re-joined the UFG team in March 2017 as Auckland's Branch Manager. Brook brings enthusiasm and years of experience to the role.
Abdul has recently joined UFG as our Auckland Auction Manager in mid-2016. He enjoys fishing, gardening, being on the family farm, and leading an active lifestyle when not at work.
Ann-Marie has been involved in the NZ flower industry since she was 18 and joined UFG in January 2016. When she's not working she enjoys refurbishing old furniture and spending time with her family.
Wilfred's parents started growing Chrysanthemums back in the 60's, he's been a part of the industry since birth! He enjoys a relaxed attitude these days at home with his wife, Sharon, now that their two children have left home. Over the Winter season he referee's football.
Geoff started in the industry in 1988 as a florist in Auckland and began working for UFG in 2013. He spends his free time surfing and playing music.
Tony has been a part of the UFG team since 2011 but worked for UFA in year's previous. He now resides at the Christchurch branch managing all of UFG's South Island activities. Outside of work, his passion is breeding and showing whippets (conformation). Tony likes nothing better after a hard day, than to relax with a glass of Sav and just chill.
